Wooden floor purchase strategy

2021-10-14
1. Pay attention to waterproof and moisture-proof when purchasing wooden floor Humid weather and frequent rain can damage various building materials in the home, and wooden floors are the first to bear the brunt. So when we buy and install wooden floors, we must pay attention to choosing waterproof and moisture-proof wooden floors. Wood flooring can be divided into three categories: solid wood flooring, laminated wood flooring, and solid wood composite flooring according to different structures, each of which has different advantages and disadvantages. Solid wood flooring is a floor decoration material formed by drying and processing natural wood. It presents natural log texture and color patterns, giving people a natural, soft, and affinity texture. However, solid wood flooring has higher requirements for paving. Once the paving is not good, it will cause a series of problems, such as noise. If the indoor environment is too humid or dry, the Solid Wood Floor is prone to arching, warping or deformation. The solid wood composite floor is made of interlaced laminates of different tree species, which overcomes the shortcomings of solid wood floor wet expansion and shrinkage to a certain extent. The dry shrinkage rate is small, and it has good dimensional stability. Natural wood grain and comfortable foot feel. Therefore, the waterproof and moisture-proof effect is better. Laminate Flooring is generally composed of four layers of materials, namely wear-resistant layer, decorative layer, high-density substrate layer, and balance layer. Compared with solid wood flooring, laminated wood flooring has been strengthened by hot pressing to overcome the weakness of dry shrinkage and swelling of solid wood flooring, and its dimensional stability is also stronger than the latter. 2. Pay attention to waterproof and moisture-proof when installing wooden floor At present, the laying methods of wooden floor mainly include keel laying method, suspension laying method, and pasting method. The three laying methods have different waterproof and moisture-proof effects. Among them, the waterproof and moisture-proof effect of the keel laying method is good, the suspension laying method is the second, and the waterproof and moisture-proof effect of the pasting method is not ideal. The keel laying method uses rectangular long wooden strips as the material to fix and load the force on the floor surface layer and lay it at a certain distance. Any tongue-and-groove floor, as long as it has sufficient bending strength, can be laid by keel. There are many materials for keel. The most widely used is wood keel. Others include plastic keel and aluminum alloy keel. The so-called floating laying method means that the floor is not directly fixed on the ground. Usually, the floor mat is laid on the ground, and then the floor with the lock and the slot is spliced into a whole on the floor mat. At present, the more commonly used floor mat The materials should be laid out. The direct sticking method is to directly bond the floor to the ground. This installation method is quick and requires the ground to be dry, clean and flat during construction. Due to the limited flatness of the ground, the laying of too long floors may cause warping, so it is more practical to lay solid wood and cork floors with a length of less than 30cm. Some small pieces of teak flooring and parquet flooring must be laid by direct bonding.
